Who We Are

A nonprofit organization bringing quality education to the communities around Punta de Mita

PEACE Punta de Mita opens the door to quality learning for children, teens, and adults from Emiliano Zapata, Corral del Risco, Higuera Blanca, and neighboring communities. Since 2013, PEACE has grown to offer Campeones, Campeones Jr., adult classes, and Prepanet, an official high school program.

Our Story: A Hand Up, Not a Handout

In April 2013, a small group of part-time residents saw a real need in three communities on the north shore of Banderas Bay: Emiliano Zapata, Corral del Risco, and Higuera Blanca. They believed education was the key to a better life, and they decided to do something about it.

What began as one small program has grown in both numbers and reach, welcoming students of every age from across the Bay of Banderas.
